Rowallan Guest House, accommodation, was built in 1880 by the Earl of Galloway.
Originally it included stables, a tennis court and an orchard.
Previously a boutique hotel Rowallan Guest House now offers friendly, intimate, bed and breakfast accommodation in Newton Stewart for holiday or longer stay visitors.
Retaining many of its original features, Rowallan Guest House provides comfortable well equipped, first floor accommodation, with lovely aspects to enhance your stay.
Situated in an acre of lovely mature garden, Rowallan Guest House provides two residents lounges, a bar, a bright and spacious conservatory for eating and a snooker room (6' table), which creates the perfect atmosphere for your holiday enjoyment.
Rowallan Guest House is licenced and you may enjoy a pre dinner drink in our residents bar lounge, open between 6pm and 8pm nightly.
Bird watchers, garden enthusiasts, cyclists, walkers, fishermen, golfers and hunters are all
welcome.
No more than 150 yards away from Rowallan Guest House lies the Merrick Leisure Centre (with indoor heated swimming pool), the Newton Stewart Museum, library, bowling green and tennis club. Newton Stewart Golf Club lies no more than 1 mile from Rowallan Guest House. The town centre is a short 300 yard walk away.
The Galloway National Forest is within easy access from Rowallan Guest House and has been declared the first UK, Dark Sky Park, one of only four in the world.
We provide drying facilities, a secure cycle store and a spacious private
car park.
For the comfort and convenience of our guests, our accommodation in Newton Stewart is Non
Smoking throughout. We regret that we are unable to cater for children
under the age of 16. We are also unable to accept any pets. Packed lunches
are available on request.
